As I was out shopping for deleted domains for the attendees for my upcoming workshop, I came across a “Classic” example of fake page rank that all the tools except for 1 said was valid. In this video, I show you how not to get ripped off. 🙂 Enjoy!

  1. Dori,

I had one question about your report, maybe a really dumb one :{ Is it vital that if I am planning on doing a 301 with an aged domain, does the aged domain name have to be relevant (related) to the new domain to still get the PR and the age inheritance? I am having a little bit of a challenge finding the domain attributes I want in my exact niche. Thanks. Andrew

  2. I had to add this too !!! I have been checking multiple sites at Freshdrop and it seems that so many sites that say they have non fake pagerank and backinks show up ZERO for everything? DO YOU THINK THAT MEANS RIPOFF OR SOMETHING ELSE? I picked 5 random sites and they ALL show up as zero? They can’t all be scams!!! Andrew

  5. Thanks for sharing Dori. I have seen this also from seo consultants looking for 3 way link exchanges. They email you and tell you that they will give you a link from the home page of this high PR site and ask for a link to a site that they actually care about.

I wrote about this on my blog. See link in name.

  6. WOW- I come from a tutoring background and am familiar with students cheating in the classroom. I was blown away to discover that adults are cheating in the internet marketing world!
Thanks you for bringing this to light.
